I went back in my archive in Lightroom and found a photo who is and it is worth tweaking. This is really a dull and for me at the first time looking it, it was not usable at all. Way back when I was shooting this in
, I thought on deleting this images and decided later on not too for tweaking practice’s sake. I really did a horrible decision on my setting in here and for me it is one of the worst image I ever taken.
So lets get back on how I tweaked it. What I did is using a Lightroom Preset which I previously created and available for free download here(HDR Like Preset). I adjusted the exposure, shadows, darks, and the contrast. I throw a lot of fill light on it and recovery. Sorry for telling you crazy and very technical things. I also add gradient to the sky to make it clearer and punchy.
This preset that I am talking about imitates the effect on paintings using watercolor I think. I am not sure but it looks like having the same texture. I like on how the contrast gave life to the image and how the fill lights worked on the hair and on how the model act. She’s like in the mood of hoping for something. The model is my girlfriend.
So, here is the comparison between the original shot and with the processed photo. You can adjust the sliders to fit in the mood you want. Enjoy!
