These cameras blend good picture quality with features that are beginner-friendly because of its enhanced navigation of the settings, mostly in the back dial. Most of them are the best sellers in the entry-level and mid-range category and no wonder why I got them in my list and they are work like a sexy working machine.

1. Nikon’s D5100
The D5100 will make every photographer smile in any visual arts directory. It has amazing features and image quality.

-Nikon’s D5100 is comfortable with buttons that are easily accessible.
-There are dials and buttons for all the common functions necessary when shooting.
-The mode dial located on top the camera controls the majority of the cameras functions.
-This mode dial controls the scene modes for a beginner to PASM exposures for a manual tweak.
2. Canon’s EOS 1100D
The 1100D gives a nice shooting experience and has enough functions and features to please SLR beginners.

-It has a very simple layout and nearly anyone can take pictures with this camera easily.
-Controls resemble those found on all other cameras in this class.
-There is a mode dial with aperture, manual exposure modes, automatic, movie mode and various scene modes.
3. Canon’s EOS 600D
This camera is nearly identical to the previous award-winning camera except for its LCD screen that flips out, creative filters and wireless flash control.

5. Penax’s K-x

8. Nikon’s D7000
Nikon’s D7000 is an exceptional mid range digital SLR with automatic and advanced features.

-Camera offers very good video and image quality.
- It has auto focus in Live View and video modes.
-Control buttons are located in the same areas as Nikon’s previous DLRs.
-Most of the controls are conveniently arranged on this camera.
9. Sony’s Alpha NEX-5
The NEX-5 has video and image quality that is equal to a DSLR and offers unique modes going beyond the other cameras in its class. The LCD screen allows adjustments to accommodate the beginner encouraging more creative shooting.

-The LCD on this camera angles down 45 degrees and up 80 degrees.
-The menu system is easily navigated and graphical.
-The menu is located on the LCD and is rotated with the use of the camera’s multipurpose dial.
10. Olympus’ E-620
The E-620 is less expensive and smaller than the Olympus E-30. Despite being less expensive, the E-620 has the majority of the features we saw on the E-30.

-This camera is very similar to the previous Olympus camera in its feel and look.
-It has an LCD screen on the back.
-The buttons on this camera are illuminated which makes shooting in a dim situation very easy.
-There is a control wheel located beside the main dial, which is used intuitively and has a nice responsive feel.
-It is an extremely lightweight camera.

My first camera was a Kodak and it took great pics. I’m surprised there are no Kodaks on the list.

Hi lleane, those are in the list are best sellers and user-friendly cameras in 2010-2011. Kodak is a good camera too.
